A bag-in-box is a form of packaging that integrates a box, a bag and a tube mouthpiece, facilitating the transport and distribution of liquid products with both effective efficiency and avoidance of non-contamination.
Pouch: The pouch consists of multiple layers of film heat-sealed together, designed to protect product quality and keep the product safe from filling to end use.
Base: The base of all our bag-in-box tubing components, this open plastic component is sealed to the bag during production and is the entry point for filling the product into the bag. After filling, the base consists of a simple cap, tap type or connector, depending on the end application of the product.
Nozzle: The nozzle refers broadly to a class of components that fit into the base. In the case of Bag-in-Box BIB field, it can be a simple cap, a complex valve and an adapter or a hose piece for connecting the dispensing equipment.
Box: A box is an external packaging that holds the filled and capped bag. It can be a simple cardboard box or an industrial-sized steel drum.
History of the bag-in-box process:
Pioneered and patented by William R. Scholle in 1955, the bag-in-box was originally used to safely transport battery acid to automotive fueling stations and repair shops. Although this type of packaging only in the automotive industry to start, but soon developed to other industries. 1956, aseptic filling process was perfected, the bag-in-box can be extended to the production of food and beverage products.
